Зеэв Гейзель - математик, публицист, общественный и политический деятель Израиля.
Родился в 1958 г. в Мариуполе (Жданов) на Украине. Жил в Керчи, Новороссийске, с 1974 г. - в Москве.
Учился в физико-математическом интернате при МГУ, лауреат Всесоюзных математических олимпиад.
Закончил с отличием МИИТ по специальности "прикладная математика".
Учился в аспирантуре Института Физики Земли.
С начала 80-х - сионистский активист, первый председатель "Игуд а-Морим" - подпольного Союза преподавателей иврита в СССР.
В 1988 г. приехал в Израиль.
Работал в Иерусалимском Университете на отеделении компьютерных наук.
Основатель сети ФМШ Израиля - "Мофет".
Автор политико-публицистической колонки в газете "Вести" (самый высокий рейтинг среди политических колонок за 1995 г.)
Первый "русский" ведущий еженедельной колонки на ивритском радио.
Создатель и первый председатель движения "Алия за Эрец Исраэль".
В 1996-99 гг. - советник премьер-министра Б. Нетаньягу по алие, абсорбции и контактам с Восточной Европой.
23-е место на праймериз "Ликуда" перед выборами в 15-й Кнессет (1999 г.)
Руководитель алгоритмического отдела американо-израильской компьютерной компании.
Автор, переводчик и исполнитель песен на иврите.

About the author of this book:

Ze'ev GEYZEL is an Israeli mathematician, journalist, and political & public figure.
He was born in 1958 in Mariupol (Zhdanov), Ukraine. He also lived in Kerch and Novorossiysk, and since 1974 in Moscow. Ze'ev Geyzel studied in the college (high school) physics and mathematics attached to the Moscow State University, and he was a winner of All-USSR Mathematical Olympiads in the course of his studies.

Ze'ev Geyzel got his M.Sc. degree (with honors) in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from Moscow Institute of Transport Engineering (MIIT) and completed his post-graduated studies in the Moscow Institute of the Earth's physics, USSR Academy of Sciences.

From the beginning of the 1980s he was involved in various underground Zionist activities in USSR, including the position of the first chairman of "Igud ha-Morim" (the Hebrew Teachers' Association) of USSR.

Zeev Geyzel repatriated to Israel in March 1988, where he worked as a Computer Science researcher at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and became the founder of MOFET, Israeli network of physical & mathematical schools for gifted children. He is also the author of many articles on Israeli politics and society issues, published "Vesti" (where his publications obtained the highest rating in 1995 among the political columns) as well as in other Israeli Russian newspapers. Other activities of that period included the work as the first weekly columnist of "Russian" origin in Hebrew radio and the first Chairman's position in the political movement "Aliya for Eretz Israel".

In 1996-1999 Ze'ev Geyzel was an adviser to the Prime-Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and apparently scored No. 23 in the Likud party primaries for the 1999 Knesset elections list.

At the moment Ze'ev Geyzel is the Head of algorithms department in an American-Israel software computer company. Author, translator and singer of Hebrew songs.
